Teens are the classic orthodontics patient. While we treat younger children as well as adults, the majority of our patients are between the ages of 12 and 17.

What makes this age so perfect for starting treatment for the majority of patients is that the majority of permanent teeth are in place, but bone growth usually is not quite complete. Dr. Pham is able to use this mixture of permanency and change to correct issues with spacing, crowding, bite, and alignment.

Also, at this age, any problems present are not going to correct on their own. With younger children, minor problems can actually resolve as the jaw grows more. This helps parents and patients feel good about their decision to begin treatment.
